Alex is a practicing Optometrist in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario in 1984 and has practiced in Calgary since that time. Although Alex is largely a self taught artist, he has always had a keen eye for landscapes and thus, finally decided to pursue his great interest in oil landscape painting. He is especially in love with the beautiful Rocky Mountain scenery that can be seen very close by in Banff, Jasper, and other National Parks in this part of Canada. Alex was born and raised in Quebec and also loves the Fall scenery in his home province, which he returns to frequently.
